Man Down!!!

I have to brag on my Rhysie for a minute. Although Rhys and I are not at the best point in our lives with respect to communication, I truly love him and his sweet little laugh and quick sense of humor. Corey has been working with him for quite awhile on learning how to ride his bike without training wheels. Pretty scary for a little kid, but also pretty frustrating for the dad helping. Finally, last night, Rhys took off and did great! Tonight, they went out to practice again and Rhys was even more confident and super proud! He wanted everyone to watch him.... until he went man down in the middle of the circle without even attempting to catching himself. Rhys was left with some serious road rash to the forehead, nose and lips, and a pretty sweet headache. Thank goodness for helmets.... how are we all still alive, I never wore a helmet when I was younger? I love you buddy, I am so proud of you and so glad you were able to get over your fear of riding a bike. I love to watch you do new things!!

Girl's Night!

top row: Carrie, Becky, Brenda
bottom row: Diana, Joanne, Ameila, Marinda

Last night was Girl's Night. We all haven't been out together in so long and really needed to reconnect. We went to dinner at Asian Star and sat and talked and laughed forever. I really forget how much I enjoy my girl friends, each of you are very special to me and have given me fun memories. I may not express it often, but each of you have truly impacted my life in some way and your friendship means the world to me. I love you all and hope we can all be friends for many years to come.

Potter's Pond...and oh ya, 4th of July

This last weekend was a blast! Ty and Carrie's family introduced our family and the Gray's, to one of their favorite places to camp, Potter's Pond. It was great, I can see why they love it, it is beautiful . Malik was so addicted to their 50 (kid's motorcycle) and was so confident on it. Corey even took him on a single track ride to see how he would do. He did great until he got into a rut he couldn't pull himself out of and the bike threw him one way and it went the other way. The next morning he woke up with a huge bruise on his butt and thigh and spent most of the morning in the trailer listening to music and nursing his first awesome bruise. Corey was so proud! The rest of the weekend was spent playing games, riding dirt bikes and four wheelers, talking and eating. Good Times!! Thanks Tolman's, Julie, Hall's and Gray's for fun times, we love ya!!
